The Legal Manager will provide legal advice on corporate, commercial law and compliance topics. You will work in close cooperation within Key Account & Licensing team, as well as with the GDPR and the general Compliance Officer, and will provide legal advice to business and functional leaders throughout Tiefenbacher Pharmaceuticals. The tasks and responsibilities will be broad, ranging from corporate and contracts law to compliance and legal operations. This job is an ideal position for experienced lawyers who want to gather experience and grow – in a very successful, fast paced, international company. 

A challenging task

  • Advise, influence and guide business decisions and actions to be consistent with external and internal requirements and principles
  • Ensure update and maintenance of Legal Sharepoint and contract templates for interactions
  • Draft, review and maintain precedent documents and templates
  • Draft and negotiate legal contracts with third parties
  • Handle contract disputes with third parties
  • Ensure the development of a compliance culture through awareness activities, trainings, and monitoring as well as looking for ways of addressing risks in an efficient and agile manner
  • Draft guidelines and policies (e.g. roll-out of contracts, managing of legal master data and register filings)
  • Responsible for further improving processes and efficiency

A convincing background

  • Master’s degree in law at a top University, an outstanding academic track record
  • Minimum 5 years’ post qualification experience gained within the pharmaceutical or healthcare related industry or reputable law firm representing healthcare & technology clients
  • Experience in managing Legal & Compliance work and projects in a changing environment (change agility required)
  • Excellent verbal and written English are essential; German is a plus but not required
  • Strategic mindset, proactive and dynamic style that fosters informed decision making, on complex and difficult business decisions
  • Proven ability to deal positively when working within tight time-pressure and difficult topics
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and rigorous person
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and activities in a calm, resilient and professional manner
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and “can do” attitude
  • Reliable and discreet team player
  • Flexibility to travel, if required
