Are you a tech-savvy student with a passion for data and a knack for making complex information easy to understand? We are looking for a Working Student to join our team in Hamburg to help bridge the gap between technical data structures and business insights. In this role, you will play a key part in enhancing our Power BI environment by ensuring our data models are not only high-performing but also perfectly documented and user-friendly.

A challenging task

  • Data Model Analysis: Evaluate and audit our current Power BI data models to understand their structure and logic.
  • AI-Driven Documentation: Utilize cutting-edge AI tools to generate and maintain comprehensive documentation for our existing data models.
  • Technical Writing: Craft clear, descriptive information for each data model, ensuring that the "why" and "how" of our data is transparent for all users.
  • Business Translation: Act as a liaison between the BI team and various business departments to identify and implement business-friendly naming conventions.
  • Optimization: Review and rename data columns to ensure they are intuitive, easy to navigate, and aligned with business terminology.

A convincing background

  • Current enrollment in a degree program related to Business Informatics, Data Architecture, or a similar field.
  • Knowledge of Power BI and an interest in further developing expertise in data modelling.
Enthusiasm for AI technologies and openness to using AI tools (e.g., LLMs) to streamline workflows and improve documentation quality.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts into plain English for non-technical stakeholders.
  • A structured and detail-oriented working style with a strong focus on data clarity and organization.
  • Proficiency in English is required; German language skills are a significant advantage for collaborating with local business units.
