- Fulltime
Are you an experienced pharmaceutical Portfolio or Market Access professional who is passionate about identifying the products that should shape tomorrow’s pipeline? Do you combine strong market and commercial judgement with a sound understanding of pharmaceutical development and enjoy turning promising opportunities into compelling product strategies?
Join our Portfolio & Market Access team and take an active role in shaping the future of Tiefenbacher’s portfolio. Our ambition goes beyond traditional generics: we want to build a strong pipeline of affordable, differentiated, specialty and innovative pharmaceutical products that address unmet patient needs and create sustainable value for our customers and partners.
For this position, we are specifically looking for an experienced Portfolio and/or Market Access professional who can bring proven expertise, an established pharmaceutical perspective and an entrepreneurial mindset to our team. You will work at the intersection of patients, markets, science, regulatory strategy and commercialisation, influencing which opportunities enter our pipeline and how we successfully bring them to markets around the world.
A challenging task
- Identify and evaluate new product and business opportunities, from affordable medicines to specialty and innovative pharmaceuticals, focusing on concepts that improve patient outcomes, address unmet needs or significantly reduce treatment costs.
- Translate patient and healthcare professional needs into product opportunities by engaging with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), physicians and pharmacists and conducting quantitative physician surveys to identify unmet needs and validate new concepts and their clinical relevance.
- Steer our “Raw Diamond” projects in small, multidisciplinary teams, bringing together scientific, regulatory, market and commercial expertise to rapidly challenge and validate early concepts and develop the most promising ideas into well-defined development projects.
- Shape our future pipeline by initiating and sponsoring development projects and guiding promising concepts from the initial idea through development towards market launch together with cross-functional teams.
- Connect scientific, technical, regulatory, market access and commercial perspectives to determine the feasibility, differentiation, patient value and commercial attractiveness of new product concepts.
- Shape and continuously refine the Global Roll-Out Plan, combining global market potential with regulatory and IP requirements to prioritise target markets, identify realistic submission and launch opportunities and ensure that international requirements are considered early in product development.
- Assess market potential and stakeholder needs, considering treatment trends, competitive dynamics, pricing and reimbursement, regulatory requirements and broader market access perspectives.
- Develop compelling business cases and portfolio recommendations, transforming complex scientific, technical, regulatory, market and commercial information into clear strategic options and recommendations for management.
- Support our Key & Licensing colleagues in bringing innovative products to customers, developing compelling product pitches and communicating their scientific, patient and commercial value. Jointly engage with customers to identify and discuss co-development opportunities and shape promising concepts into attractive product opportunities.
- Build strong external networks and partnerships with pharmaceutical companies, technology innovators, universities, start-ups, healthcare professionals and other relevant stakeholders to identify new products, technologies and collaboration opportunities.
- Use agile approaches, modern technologies and artificial intelligence to identify, analyse and validate opportunities efficiently and strengthen data-driven portfolio decision-making.
- Bring people and expertise together, creating a shared understanding across R&D, Regulatory Affairs, IP, commercial functions, Market Access and project teams and helping promising concepts move forward.
- Represent Tiefenbacher at conferences, trade shows and industry events, expanding our network while identifying emerging trends, technologies, products and potential partners.
