As we embark on our SAP adoption journey, we are looking for an Master Data Manager Global to serve as a bridge between technical architecture and business processes. Your primary mission will be to support our current master data team in defining, documenting, and implementing global data standards. You will not only define the governance framework but also mentor team members, ensuring they have the guidance needed to maintain data integrity within the new SAP ecosystem. 

A challenging task

  • Lead the definition and continuous improvement of master data standards, including naming conventions, attributes, workflows, and hierarchies, with a strong focus on SAP S/4HANA integration
  • Develop, implement, and enforce data governance policies, ensuring clear data ownership, accountability, and end-to-end data lifecycle management
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for master data management by supporting, mentoring, and upskilling the existing master data team, with hands-on guidance on SAP-specific data requirements
  • Oversee and actively contribute to data profiling, cleansing, and mapping activities during the migration from legacy systems to SAP, leading by example and collaborating closely with key stakeholders
  • Partner with IT, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to ensure master data structures align with cross-functional business requirements
  • Identify and drive opportunities to automate data creation, maintenance, and validation, leveraging SAP MDG (Master Data Governance) or comparable tools

A convincing background

  • 4–6 years of relevant experience in Master Data Management, with a strong focus on SAP environments
  • Deep understanding of SAP data structures, including Material Master, Business Partner (Vendor/Customer), BOMs, and Routing
  • Solid knowledge of data governance principles, including data quality metrics, metadata management, and data stewardship
  • Experience with SAP MDG, LSMW, or Winshuttle
  • Ability to translate complex technical data requirements into clear, understandable language for business stakeholders
